PANDEMIC OPERATIONS GUIDE

With the second wave of H1N1 predicted for this fall, companies are trying to quickly prepare a pandemic plan. Many existing kits and guidelines do not provide companies with a step-by-step solution for the creation of an operational pandemic plan. KIMC has produced a Pandemic Operations Guide that shows companies how to create an executable plan for continuing operations during a pandemic. The guide tells companies the specific areas that must be addressed by the business to deal with a pandemic such as the creation of a crisis management team and departmental plans. Companies may have emergency response plans and business continuity plans, but the scenario in a pandemic is different and requires a specific analysis of the people needed to run critical processes.

The consulting hours include:

Basic – Five hours of consulting are provided with the Basic Pandemic Operations Guide. The five hours will assist the company in starting the development of the Pandemic Response Plan. The company will be provided with an overview of pandemic planning, how best to conduct it and how to develop useful tools for gathering information for the plan.

Expanded – Fifteen hours of consulting are provided with the Expanded Pandemic Operations Guide. The fifteen hours will assist the company in the development of the Pandemic Response Plan. The company will be provided with an overview of pandemic planning, a project outline including the end deliverables and a roadmap on how to get from the first meeting to a final, tested plan. We will show the company how to use the tools provided to gather information for the plan and help in the creation of policies. Also we provide a critique of the final plan to identify high-level gaps including recommended steps to close the gaps.
